Hygiene and your Lash Extensions
What your cleansing style says about you.
It's no secret that lash extensions are a high valued service, They enhance our eyes giving us lift, shape and redirection. Lashes can make us look a flittered version of ourselves without makeup. Lashes can even out the difference in eye sizing (one eye smaller than the other) and make your over all appearance an elevated version of you. This leads to a over all sense of contentment and confidence within yourself and at the end of the day that was beauty services are here for, to make you feel like a better version of you.
In order maintain this euphoric sense of self its import to keep our eyes and lashes healthy. The worst approach to caring for lashes is to do nothing at all. Alot of clients are concerned with lash shedding - it's completely natural and expected to have your lashes shed, you want this to happen. When your lashes shed that is a response to the environment or your natural growing cycle and this means your lashes are set up to succeed. What you don't want is lashes that don't shed, this is setting your natural lashes up for percent failure.
Your lashes have a natural growing cycle, when you leave excess weight (extension or anything other than the natural lash) for extended period of time the natural lash will grow out and the extension will grow with it. What you want is for the extensions to fall of naturally because the weight to much for your natural lash to hold. If you were to leave the extension on for an extreme amount of time the natural lash will break and over time its growing cycle will stop lead to long term lash damage.
How do I keep my lash extensions on longer without damaging them?
Keep them clean! Premature lash fall out is a direct response to the environment you live in and how clean you keep your extensions.
It is important you are washing your lashes every day with an oil free lash extension shampoo and link free applicators. Do not use cotton swabs they lead to lint debris and irritation and do not use a coarse brush this will lead to pulling a fall out of your lash extensions.
